Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
By joining the Steer AI waitlist or using the Steer AI application, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Steer AI is
Steer AI is a coaching tool for learner drivers preparing for the Irish RSA driving test. It captures short ~13-second clips during practice drives, analyses them with AI, and provides coaching feedback. It is not an RSA product, is not affiliated with the Road Safety Authority of Ireland, and does not predict, determine, or influence the outcome of your driving test.
2. No guarantee of results
Steer AI coaching is provided for educational purposes only. Grades and feedback are AI-generated estimates and may not reflect the assessment of a real examiner. We make no warranty that using Steer AI will improve your test outcome. Driving safely is always your responsibility.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years of age and hold a valid Irish learner permit (or be a licensed driving instructor) to use the Steer AI app. By signing up, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Your content
You own the clips and data captured on your device. By using Steer AI, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your clips and sensor data solely for the purpose of generating your coaching reports. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Steer AI while driving unsafely or in a way that endangers others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service.
- Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
- Submit false information or impersonate another person.
6. Early access and availability
Steer AI is currently in early access. Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice. We may pause or discontinue the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, Steer AI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of the service, including any reliance on AI-generated coaching feedback.
8. Privacy
Your use of Steer AI is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your data in compliance with GDPR.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.
